
Lise Hand
Lise Hand is a journalist, broadcaster and a regular contributor to current affairs programmes on radio and tv. She has worked at a variety of national newspapers including The Sunday Tribune, The Sunday Independent, The Sunday Times, The London Times and The Irish Independent, covering everything from the arts to sport, fashion, features, current affairs and politics. She was the parliamentary sketch writer for the Irish Independent and subsequently for The Times Ireland edition.
She has also been involved in the film industry, as researcher on the Oscar-nominated ‘In the Name of the Father’ and one of her stories was adapted into a short film ‘11th Hour’ directed by Oscar-winner Jim Sheridan and starring Oscar nominee Salma Hayek. At present she is working on a new podcast series.
Lise has a strong connection with Westport and is a firm friend of the Rolling Sun Book Festival.
