Tom Dunne

Tom Dunne is an award-winning radio presenter with Newstalk Radio. Since cutting his teeth as a singer songwriter with Something Happens (Parachute, Hello Hello) he has been presenting music and light entertainment shows on both radio and TV. He also writes weekly columns in The Sunday Times and The Irish Examiner.

His radio show, Pet Sounds on TodayFM is probably his best known. It won him five IMRO Awards and saw him interview everyone from Paul McCartney to Brian Wilson, Beyonce, Kylie, Sir George Martin, Coldplay, The Pogues, Bob Geldof and many, many more.

He has a lifelong passion for Irish music and continues to perform both with the Happens and as a solo artist / collaborator. He has curated live festivals (The Feile Classical events in 2019,2020 and 2022) and compilation albums – Tom Dunne’s 30 Best Irish Hits- which achieved multi-platinum sales.

He lives in Dalkey with his wife Audrey, his two daughters and his two mop top dogs, John and Paul.
